Bio
Bryce has always lived in the Mountain West and was introduced to the arts at a young age by his mother, who was a very proficient artist. Later in high school Bryce’s interest in art deepened when he was introduced to the works of great American Illustrators such as N.C. Wyeth and Howard Pyle “Their artwork was so exhilarating and rich, I was hooked”.
Due to limited resources, he chose to pursue his artistic passion by enrolling at the local public University. However, he soon realized that the school did not offer the comprehensive art education he sought, leading him to withdraw from the program. During this period, despite not having a formal arts education, Bryce worked in the foundry of renowned sculptor Edward J. Fraughton where he gained valuable knowledge of the art world through this hands-on experience.
After spending many years there, Bryce departed from Ed’s studio and dedicated himself to painting for the gallery market on a full-time basis. Gradually, his artwork gained recognition, earning placements in esteemed art shows and galleries nationwide. “It was a super crazy time for me, I had a family and home to care for while still doing my best to improve my art as I went”.
Bryce's artistic achievements include winning many awards, notably, he was honored with the prestigious best in show at the Oil Painters of America national exhibition in 2020. Bryce continues to live in the Mountain West with his wife and family and remains committed to his art despite no longer being affiliated with gallery representation or art organizations.
“The way I work has changed. I now have the freedom to explore my artistic expression from within. Over the past few years, I've been able to let go of some deep-seated, dogmatic ideas about art and how I perceive it. This has given me the freedom to explore new boundaries and concepts that eluded me all those years when all I could hope for was to simply paint something technically better than what I'd done previously.”

Current Gallery Representation
I’ve have had a wonderful career with many prestigious galleries over the past 25 plus years. In 2021 I made the final decision to leave all gallery representation behind.
As the art world continues to change I have decided that I will be representing myself exclusively for the foreseeable future. But who knows, maybe someday I might consider reentering the gallery world.
